145MHz Cross Yagi Production and Preparation (2025/10/02)
Cross Yagi antenna required for satellite communications.
My master DU9JJY says 'I have one extra set so I'll sell it to you'
I bought it from WiMO and have only used it a little, so the price seems reasonable.
So I started designing a VHF cross yagi using MMANA.
Instead of licking my pencil, I asked ChatGPT to give me the basic MMANA values, and for some reason the tuning point was 146.8MHz, and the SWR was also over 2.
Cross Yagi remainsoptimization.Doing this can cause elements to disappear or become incredibly long.
So I asked them to provide separate data for vertical and horizontal.optimization.I quickly created an antenna with a tuning point of 145.800MHz.
The data was then combined to form a cross Yagi antenna, and the result was this 6-element cross Yagi antenna.
The SWR is also 1.06 at the target frequency of 145.800MHz.
