Buying a ZT219 Digital Multimeter (November 2, 2026)
I used proceeds from the JI1FGX/DU9 Online Shop to buy a ZOYI ZT219 digital multimeter.
I bought it through TikTok Shop for PHP 1,368 (approximately JPY 3,420 at the exchange rate used when purchasing it).
Thank you to everyone who has supported the online shop. Your purchases have helped me buy test equipment for building and checking my projects.

New ZOYI ZT219 digital multimeter
Until now, I have been using a SANWA CD731a digital multimeter.
According to the manufacturer's discontinued-products list, the CD731a was discontinued on May 30, 2014—approximately twelve and a half years before this article was written in November 2026. I have not confirmed its original release year or when I purchased this particular unit, so this is not a statement of how long I have owned it.
After years of use, the LCD has become difficult to read and the continuity buzzer no longer sounds. I therefore bought the ZT219 for future electronics projects and equipment checks.

CD731a and ZT219: Key Specifications Compared

The table below compares the main specifications of my old CD731a and the newly purchased ZT219.
These are published specifications from their instruction manuals, not results from calibration or comparative measurements of my own units.

The ZT219 offers a higher display count, a backlight, and additional functions such as frequency measurement, temperature measurement, and NCV detection. Alongside checking PCB supply voltages and resistance values, these provide more options for different tasks. I look forward to assessing its display readability and ease of use during actual construction and maintenance work.

The best accuracy figures apply only to the specified ranges and conditions. “rdg” means the reading, and “dgt” refers to counts of the least significant digit. Display count alone does not determine measurement accuracy. The highest current ranges have restrictions such as measurement-time limits; follow the conditions in each manual. ZT219 specifications are based on the manual edition referenced here.
