JI1FGX/DU9 Hamvention in Bohol(2011/04/18)
PARA's Hamvention was held in Bohol Island from April 15-17. We too arrived at 4pm after a 7 hour journey by private car, bus and boat! Private cars full of luggage arrive in the middle of the night on other ferries.
In fact, it turned out that this was the first time for a manufacturer to exhibit their radio equipment at a ham fair in the Philippines, and the first time for a dealer to exhibit their radio equipment at a ham fair in the Philippines. Day 1 was just my own TS-480SAT and stock radios that I brought. Support was supposed to come from Anascom, Kenwood's distributor, but cancelled without any notice.
From left to right, DW8BXU Gigi, Gigi's secretary, Ai Ai, 17 years old, Jian helping out with stickers, etc., and me still in high spirits.
Still, there were many people who touched the TS-480SAT and FT-8900 that were connected to the antenna.
Incidentally, the radio for the 29MHz repeater was demonstrated with a dummy load connected, but there was a trouble that it kept transmitting in the middle of the demonstration. The event was a panic to turn off the power when there was a strange smell coming from the dummy load. The problem is that it starts transmitting again even when the power is turned back on.
On Fridays and Saturdays during the event period, the place was so busy that crowds of people gathered and it was impossible to take a break. I am also sweating profusely and explaining in English!
Especially since the latest handy machines were available for hands-on use, everyone took their time to touch them and ask me any questions they had. We managed to get through the two days with a combination of asking DW8BXU, the president, and Gigi for prices!
Everyone won't leave the radio any longer. One person even walked out of the venue with the device in his hand. I instructed my employee, Mr. Charley, to keep an eye on him.
The line of people never stops, even forgetting to go out for lunch!
YAESU and ICOM agencies on Saturday, the second day, The president of Thunder Enterprise came by with lots of radios!
So on the second day, more items were displayed, and it became more like a manufacturer's and dealer's exhibition. Unfortunately, the radio equipment for display was not decided until just before the event, and all the descriptions were handwritten. It's like a ham fair.Club BoothIt's a disgraceful thing to look like that.
My car is also firmly in the Diamond Antenna advertising vehicle. Explanation of antenna, trunk base, and coaxial cable routing We have it open at will so that you can see the cable.
On the right is Thunder's President Rennen He said it was his first time attending a hamvention, too. Of course, they've never been to the Tokyo Ham Fair. Next year, it will be held in Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao, and we will be able to see the "Cagayan de Oro.Let's try to make the explanatory plates, etc. at least one month in advance. We discussed this in a small review meeting with the "Mere Old Man.
By the way, Rennen said.I have met many Japanese, but I can understand your Pronoums! They said, "We'll take it. I think it's a total yoi...
This is the main venue PARA announced that the number of overnight participants exceeded 200!
YAESU's FT-250 and VX-3 brought by Thunder's President Rennen, and ICOM's IC-V80 offered for raffle ."Presented to you by Lily Electric Appliance Supplier, courtesy of YAESU and ICOM!I got a good promotion.
When his call sign was read out, this guy had a kind of gut-punch.
Three days of experience with the club booth for almost 10 years at the ham fair was useful! Next year's event will be held in our hometown of Cagayan de Oro, so we will do our best to prepare well in advance.
On Sunday, we enjoyed the fact that we were going sightseeing in Bohol!
