Our passenger car, a Chevrolet Optira. Somehow, after cleaning the air filter, I removed the cover covering the engine and found an oil leak from the left side of the cylinder head cover. The spark plugs are in the back in the middle, but when I pulled the plug cord, they were covered in oil.
So I disassembled it myself and found that there was a problem with the gasket.
When I sent it in for repair previously, the gasket was not installed properly or there was oil in the spark plug hole in the middle!
Immediately ordered a gasket from Cebu Chevrolet and then cleaned the gasket and reinstalled it. I did a test drive to Osamis and the oil leak seems to have stopped. But the gasket is very hard, so I will replace it when the parts arrive.
This is a Suzuki light truck. The ignition coils burn out repeatedly, so I decided to check the timing belt while ordering to Japan. Removed radiator and fan, tried to remove crankshaft pulley and it was too hard and nut would not turn. Incidentally, to the untrained eye, the timing belt was clean and the water pump did not make any noise, so I did not remove it.
I'm sure there must be some special tool, but I had to use a vise clip to force it down and remove it.
Radiator was in good condition with no rust.
The hose was very old, so I bought it in Osamis and replaced it. To my surprise, the thermostat was not included in the package, so I purchased that as well. When I pumped it up for a test run, after running the engine for a while, the thermostat opened and hot water flowed to the radiator. It seems to be a success with no leaks. The sun has set, so the shift lever and other parts will be installed and test-driven tomorrow.
1 passenger car. One light truck and one 2-ton truck. 1 2KW generator, 1 engine weeder, 1 engine concrete mixer
Before we knew it, we had six engines! I feel like I'm repairing one of these cars every day when I write in my journal, If we had to send all these things out for repair, it would cost us a lot of money, so we need to develop the skills to do the repairs ourselves.
