After much trial and error and failure, we completed a TV antenna that matches the frequency of the broadcasting station in Osamis, Philippines. One antenna can receive both channel 2 (54MHz) and channel 5 (88MHz)
Well, as a prototype, it's got all the right characteristics.
However, when I was testing with this antenna, to my surprise, channel 5 was Osamis and channel 2 was Iligan. It turns out that the beam direction is 90 degrees different!
Turns out you have to use two antennas after all.
So we reassembled it again into an antenna dedicated to Channel 5 and made it 4-element to reduce costs.
DXAntenna's level checker for TV I bought on Yahoo Auction. I really wanted one, so I bought it for 30,000 yen instantly! Combined beam: 55.6 dB
55.3dB with distributor By the way, I was able to use it with the distributor upside down. Once I build the second channel 2 antenna dish, I plan to mix it and see if it's affected.
So I've been working hard on making antennas and repairing my car due to the bad conditions recently. When I told my favorite store that sells electronic components about this antenna, they told me to show it to them when it was finished!
There are plenty of rich families living in areas outside of cable TV service. Perhaps it could be sold.
Osamis has only two stations, Channel 2 and Channel 5.
