JI1FGX/DU9 Light truck repair(2011/04/09)

refusal Due to amateur work, there may be errors in the names of each component and square block, as well as in the photos of the work procedure. |
The engine of my light truck has broken down.
LotLot drove the car to the mango orchard, but the engine malfunctioned on the way, so he pushed himself to drive the car. I towed it home, but it would stop as soon as I started the engine.
The oil was gray, the coolant was empty, and the car was overheating.
At this point, the cause is not clear, but it appears that for some reason the coolant got inside the engine and mixed with the oil.
So, for the first time, we decided to disassemble the engine ourselves.
After various difficulties, the engine was removed. The device at this point is to put the screws and nuts in a small box separately from where they were removed.
Failure. The fact that the transmission oil was not drained and oil leaked from various places. The missing bolt and nut that should have been organized and saved.
Decomposition starting tomorrow (as of April 4)
From the disassembly stage, Mr. Sablabas from across the street, who has a wealth of experience, showed us the ropes as we worked. Remove water pump, crankshaft pulley, etc.
Finally meet the valve The inside was blackened with carbon. The gasket between the pilton block was ruined, but it is not clear if it was ruined when it was removed.
Camshafts and Valves The valve is dirty with oil mixed with water, but when turned by hand, it turns properly and the valve is confirmed to move up and down.
Here is the piston Piston liner was not scratched.
Tightening the valve spring pressure to remove the valve. I had no idea that this tool, which I ordered from Japan, would come in handy so quickly!
Thanks to the tools, all the pistons have been removed.
Next, remove the camshafts. Each part is cleaned by buying kerosene For some reason, people here used gasoline to wash them.
Since I took the trouble to remove it, I cleaned the inside,
Valves were mortised. However, I had a hard time with the poor quality of the cuvettes available here. I ordered a tool for this time that can be finished in a short time with an air tool.
Pistons also removed for cleaning No damage was found.
Piston removed
The metal seal between the piston block and camshaft had somehow come off and was cracked! According to Mr. Sabla Bus across the street ."The seals made of aluminum and steel in the camshaft area may have been dislodged due to different thermal expansion due to overheating, Did this disconnect lead to overheating?"
I don't have a picture of it because I'm also covered in oil as I'm repairing it. After 5 days of assembly and engine remounting, we were finally able to start the engine on April 9! Replace bushings, clutch and shift lever wires. Well, what we were able to do on our own was a valuable experience that money can't buy!
A trial run is scheduled for tomorrow. |
