RTTY with MMTTY (October 21, 2024)
When I was watcing in the band on the 20th, I heard a signal on RTTY that I usually don't hear.

In these days of FT8, it may be too late for RTTY, but it is the nature of radio operators to want to hear and see what is being heard.
This diary is a reminder that MMTTY has been installed for a long time.

After installation, I struggled for about an hour to set up the system, but was only able to communicate with two stations.
By the way, I communicated with 2,400 stations via RTTY from 2009 to 2013, but it's been a long time since I made a comeback!
The latest version of MMTTY isDownload here at MMTTY1.70KCan be done.
I was using MMTTY168A and upgraded at this time.
Run the downloaded _mmtty_MMTTY170K.exe to launch the installer

It must be installed.
Do not connect the USB cable to the radio before installing the driver.
You will need to read the YAESU manual to learn how to use it.
This is not necessary if you have already installed the driver in FT8.
MMTTY starts and you are prompted to enter your call sign

Since the laptop and FTDX3000 are connected via USB, set the Port of PTT & FSK to that port number.
Adjust the digital output level so that the ALC does not swing
It is not possible to adjust the level while transmitting like WSJT-X and JTDX of FT8, so it takes a little bit of time and effort.

I had trouble with this for a while.

It's a hassle to click twice, especially when you are in FT8!

I have a bitter experience of forgetting this and recording nearly 100 records in JST, which had to be reworked to UTC.
