JI1FGX/DU9 Mindanao Diary Power outage(2010/10/22)
We had a power outage from about 10pm last night until 9am this morning. It was hot and humid when we went to bed, so we ran the generator and turned on the air conditioner, but that stopped in the middle of the night. I slept with the windows open, ready for the mosquitoes to attack. Thanks to that, I didn't get attacked by mosquitoes last night...
In the morning, power company workers were working at a utility pole near my house.
What's up with the bad contact at the transformer? What's wrong?" "lost contactHe says it is.
The equipment must be old.
This is our 3KW generator. Although the name "NITTOO POWER" sounds like a Japanese manufacturer, it is made in China. The recent relationship with China makes me want to vomit just to say that we have products made in China!
But here in the Philippines, Chinese products are so abundant that it is difficult to find Japanese products! And they are all of inferior quality and break easily... This generator also broke once.
Still on 18MHz CW with the generator running during the power outage.CQCQ
For about 30 minutes, we were able to communicate with about 20 stations from the U.S. and Japan.
The cluster was also raised to a pile condition for a time. CW receiving software (CWGET) cannot decipher a pile zeroed in at the same strength, as expected!
