| Even though they say the conditions are bad, they are now in fall conditions. After midnight, I started communicating with Europe on SSB, changed the mode to RTTY when it stopped calling, and then switched to PSK31 for about 3.5 hours! A lot of people called me and kept calling me for 2 hours, announcing the SSB pile-up as UP 3-5 after a long time! It may be worthwhile just because it is Mindanao OC-130, unlike OC-129 in Manila (Luzon) or Visayas, even in the same Philippines! HF activity is low in the Philippines as a whole, and when it comes to Mindanao, there are hardly any people who are ONAIR to HF!  |
