JI1FGX/DU9 Mindanao Diary Pipe Tower Construction(2009/12/13)
Construction of the pipe tower has finally begun! DU8AXE (Eduard), who I met at Depot Log, came all the way by bus and took care of the site!
The pipe is 2" 1 piece 2 sticks of 1 1/2 I will post the 1 and 1/4 at the end tomorrow. Four 6m pipes totaling 24mH
This is the foundation for the offsite anchor
We concreted it and waited three days. |
This is the wire used for stays Twisted wire is hard to find in this country
Welding of joint parts and rebar that will become scaffolding
Now, stand up the 2-inch and 1-1/2-inch pipes connected by ropes
On the other side of the house, Lotlot is waiting to pull the rope.
We're up and running. Still 12 meters high.
The stays are being stretched under the direction of DU8AXE (Eduard).
Mr. Lotlot, as usual, is putting up the stay wire.
From below, even 12mH looks quite high
I'm trying to lift the third pipe with the bladder on.
Finally, adjusting the turnbuckles concludes today's work. Tomorrow, the fourth pipe will be installed.
It was late in the evening, so the final pole installation was postponed until tomorrow.
