JI1FGX/DU9 Mindanao DiaryTyphoon damage in Manila(2009/10/14)
When we communicate by radio, many people express their sympathy for the damage caused by Typhoon No. 16.
Thank you all very much.

Damage was reported in and around the metropolitan area of Manila, where more than 100 people were killed and many were forced to evacuate.

Fortunately, Luzon and Mindanao are about 800 km apart, about the distance between Tokyo and Okayama in Japan.
We live at 8 degrees north latitude, and typhoons originate offshore east of 10 degrees north latitude and move north, so
Mindanao has rarely had typhoon damage throughout the year.
Hi.

Yup, bad happen the typhoon is very strong it gives a big damage
specially in Manila the central city of the Philippines.
But Kouichi and I, live in the province of Mindanao.
The weather is good.
Although there is a tiny rain but not so serious.
I really thanks to Almighty God that everybody is saved.
I'm hoping that this not happen again.

By the way thank you for the email don't worry everything here is fine
and save.
So there's nothing to worry about.

Thank you
Gigi.
The damage caused by Typhoon Ketsana (Typhoon 16) was shown on the PinoyChannel program on the Internet!
September 28.
Flooding has flooded almost all of Manila.
A large shopping mall called SM has also been damaged in this way!
They are concerned about contagious diseases and deteriorating sanitary conditions in the entire city.
Gigi explains that the homes of those who had been evacuated to the second floor of a two-story house were swept away, and everyone in this video died because they could not be rescued!
And before the typhoon, there was a water shortage and rice was seriously damaged on Luzon Island!
Prices in the Tokyo metropolitan area are now rising four to five times, directly affecting the lives of ordinary people.

According to Gigi, "There could be a lot of people condemning us to Mindanao in a while.Yes," he says.
Then, I am also concerned about the further deterioration of public safety!
