JI1FGX/DU9 Mindanao Diary18MHz 3EL for Europe(2009/10/04)
The second 18MHz 3-element yagi has been completed It had been completed a long time ago, but we didn't have the money to buy coaxial cable, so we left it in the parking lot!
I had only 10m of 8D2V100m left from the last shipment from Japan, so I decided to temporarily connect it and adjust it.
Measure SWR with MFJ-259B after temporarily setting up at about 6m
Different value from the design, so the antenna is lowered and fine-tuned.
And then lift the antenna again and re-measure the SWR.
In fact, the SWR should go down nicely like this, but it doesn't go as smoothly as I'd like.
I spent 2 hours in the morning adjusting the elements and it doesn't go as well as I'd like. But when I cooled down and thought about it carefully, I knew that the SWR would be like this for a temporary installation of 6mH in a preliminary simulation.
Once the coaxial cable is purchased, it will be installed with a beam for Europe
The Oceania contest began on October 3 at 08:00 UTC.
Still in process, but 187 stations in total.
