14MHz FT8 will be available late at night (2025/09/07)
Yesterday, September 6th, there was a 12-hour power outage starting in the morning.
The power company in Ozamiz City, Mindanao, Philippines, suddenly and without any announcement, announced a long-term planned power outage.
The air conditioner was not working, so I lay on my bed in a 37 degree room and waited for the electricity to come back on.
Around 3pm, Jenny, the mother of my grandson Zion, sent me a message: 'My finger was bitten by a kitten and it started bleeding, so I want to get a rabies post-exposure vaccination.'
So I went to Animal Bite Clinic.
Today was the first post-exposure rabies vaccination injection, and I will have to come in three times in total.
Total 5,000 pesos (approximately 13,300 yen)
The power outage ended at 7 p.m.
Then, I changed bands to 7MHz, 10MHz, and 14MHz, sending out CQs and making
QSOs smoothly.
By 11pm, I had made QSOs with 50 stations.
Just when I thought I was about ready to go to bed, I was called continuously
by stations in America and Europe,
and as of 1:30 AM, they are still calling.
