FTDX3000とFT-891を例にCwGetとCwTypeの設定を説明します
ハードウェアの準備
FTDX3000はUSBType A - Type B ケーブルで接続するだけです。
注意が必要なのはパソコンと無線機を接続する前にYAESUのダウンロードページから CP210x_Universal_Windows_Driverをダウンロードしてインストールしておく必要が有ります
手順はYAESUのドキュメントに従ってください
ドライバーをインストールしたらデバイスマネージャーを起動してからUSBケーブルを無線機に繋いでください Standard COM PortがPTT制御でCwTypeでも使います
Enhanced COM PortがCAT制御用でFT8で使用
Hardware Setup
Connecting the FTDX3000 is as simple as using a USB Type A - Type B cable.
Before connecting your computer to the transceiver, it is important to first download and install the CP210x Universal Windows Driver from YAESU's download page. Please follow the instructions provided in YAESU's documentation.
Once the driver is installed, launch the Device Manager and then connect the USB cable to the transceiver.
Standard COM Port: Used for PTT control, also utilized with CwType.
Enhanced COM Port: Used for CAT control, typically used for FT8 operations.
However, the USB port on the FT-891 is only for CAT control, and audio requires a separate SCU-17 interface. On YAESU's website, it was written that "USB port allows easy connection to a computer," so I assumed it would be the same as the FTDX3000 with just a single cable. However, when I contacted support, they gave me a shocking response: "Audio signals must be relayed through the SCU-17." I feel deceived by the description.
As a result, I ended up ordering an SCU-17 from Yahoo Auctions for $123.
A USB cable is connected from the laptop to the FT-891 for CAT control.
Additionally, another USB cable connects the laptop to the SCU-17 for audio signal input and output.
An included 8-pin cable connects the SCU-17 to the FT-891 for audio signal
transmission.
In total, two USB cables are connected to the laptop.

It is convenient to print out frequently used menus in Excel and create laminated cards.
Download CwGet and start the installer.
The installer screen is not particularly difficult, so I'll skip it.
After starting CwGet, select Help and then Register!.
Purchase reg-code for $35をクリックしてライセンスの購入へ進みます
Click Purchase reg-code for $35 to proceed to purchase a license.
A browser will open, so enter your email address, name, phone number, credit card information, and call sign.
After payment is complete, you will receive the reg-code by email a while later.
It's a fairly long code, so copy and paste it into the blue window and press Apply reg-code.
Once the registration is complete, click Setup and then select Interface.
From there, choose Microphone (USB Audio CODEC). When using the SCU-17 with the FT-891, the microphone will show as (2-USB Audio CODEC). This screen is from the FTDX3000.
This is the CWGET reception screen. When a signal is received, the spectrum will be displayed. Once the CW signal is tuned in, align the red line to the center. Then, the CW decoding will start, and the characters will begin to appear.
Next, download and install CwType.
CwType is free software. After downloading, launch CwType, and click on
Setup and then Interface.
Make the settings shown in the red box. This screen is from the FTDX3000.
Once the Setup is complete, try using Tune to see if the carrier signal appears.
If the port is correct, the carrier should show up.
CwType allows you to register messages for transmission to the F1-F12 macros,
enabling one-click transmission. Additionally, by holding down the Ctrl
and Alt keys while clicking, you can register up to 36 different messages.
You can also directly input from the keyboard. For instance, when a part
of the callsign or "DU9" cannot be copied, you can send "JI1FGX/DU9 DU9 DU9" in one go.
