December 28, 2002 Going to a town called Anspa (December 28, 2002)
They have a speed limit in town only.
Country roads... 140Km!
In Japan, that's 40 kilometers.

Go to a large shopping center
Brucken Center in Anspa
Coffee shop in the Brucken Center
Crowded with German beer drinkers.
Electrician in the center
Unlike in Japan, all washing machines are horizontally mounted.
I mean, there wasn't a single vertical washing machine.
Items sold at home centers have the same selection as in Japan
But electrical products are 230V spec.

This is the German AC outlet
I had to buy a conversion adapter at Narita Airport because I couldn't plug in a Japanese-style plug.
But the voltage is different, so it can only be used as a laptop AC adapter or camera charger.
gas station
Approximately 138 yen for high-octane gasoline (123 yen per euro)
But all highways are free.
Sprinter CaribbeanI was in this car, so I took a picture of it.
DH1NGP Peter was also on the road, talking to people he knew on the radio!
Peter also loves radio and ragchew!
