Why did I go to Germany (2002/12/21)
In October 2002, I was looking for a program to control the radios I use in my hobby of amateur radio.
I'm searching google for the keyword FT-847.SuperControlI came across a program called
I downloaded and examined it and found that it was made by a German ham DH1NGP, Peter Pfisterer.
However, that program did not work properly on my computer.

On November 1, I sent an e-mail to Peter and immediately received a response, and then the search for the cause began.
For about two months, we debugged the system while communicating and making full use of English dictionaries and translation software,
We sent a Japanese Windows PC to Germany, and we also used NetMeeting to talk to each other while we were programming.
I went there.
And when the program was almost finished, I took my laptop with the translation software installed in my hand.
We decided to visit Peter's house on December 20!

One concern is that I don't understand German or English at all, even the basics I learned in middle school.
Except that I also forgot ・・・・, and I even brought a spare laptop in case my computer broke.

December 20, 2002
Arrived in Munich after a long flight of about 10 hours from Narita by Lufthansa
Transfer to a domestic flight to Noonbark Airport.
Waiting room for domestic flights at Munich Airport
It was 5:30 p.m., but it was already dark and icy rain was falling outside!

DH1NGP Peter, who will be with us for 10 days starting today, came to the airport to pick me up.
It takes about an hour to get home by autobahn.
